Shaggy Sheep Division
We keep a mixed flock of Hampshire (one of the largest breeds), Katahdin (very low maintenance), and Suffolk (the most popular breed in the U.S.). Many of our base flock were purchased from local 4H youth including a few ``rescues`` from the livestock auction.
Our sheep roam the pasture all day, every day, eating a variety of plants and shrubs. During the Winter and early Spring months when the pasture is wet we supplement their diet with hay and commercial feed. During lambing season ewes are brought into the barn to give birth and care for their lambs.
