Meet Penelope

Breed: White Leghorn     Egg Color: White

Penelope is one of those hens that does her job and quietly cares for others. We never really noticed her until she was mentioned by several of the other hens. One hen said, “Do you know who Penelope is? She is so kind. The other day I was feeling broody and she sat with me and listened to me. I really felt she heard me and then helped me find some peace and move forward with my life.”

Another hen said how she was feeling lonely and Penelope came up, gave her a wing squeeze and told her a joke. “The joke was so funny. It was about some chicken crossing a road. It was so funny and made me chuckle out loud and the next thing I know I felt better. She is so kind and giving of herself and her time.”

There are so many stories like these about Penelope. A hen that quietly cares for others and keeps the hens in her coop happy and productive. That is why she has been chosen to be a Featured Employee.
